 Severe weather shows its effects all over the country.  While the weather may be nice in the morning, things can drastically change in a matter of minutes.  It is important to know what to do before, during, and after severe weather strikes. This page will give you an overview of what you can do in order to plan and prepare for severe weather in your community.

Is your community A StormReady community?

Stormready is a program started by NOAA's National Weather Service in order to help communities gain the communication and safety skills that are a necessity when it comes to saving lives and property before and during a severe storm.  This program aids community leaders and emergency management personnel strengthen local programs that aid in preparing the public for a disaster.  Through advanced planning, education, and awareness, StormReady communities are best prepared for severe weather disasters.  While this program does not make a community storm proof, it helps these communities save lives.  For more information on StormReady, click on the image below to be redirected to the StormReady webpage.
