Is your
community A StormReady community?
Stormready is a program started by NOAA's National Weather Service in
order to help communities gain the communication and safety skills that
are a necessity when it comes to saving lives and property before and
during a severe storm. This program aids community leaders and
emergency management personnel strengthen local programs that aid in
preparing the public for a disaster. Through advanced planning,
education, and awareness, StormReady communities are best prepared for
severe weather disasters. While this program does not make a
community storm proof, it helps these communities save lives. For
